Since working with Fluke Network's XG tablet, I have had quite a few people ask me how they would 'back it up'.
My initial response was, "why?". But after listening to many people, they seem to have a valid point. The rationale was that since the tablet was running Windows 7, anything could happen, and they would like to have a system backup or image created. Another analyst mentioned that a backup would be helpful, if they decided to upgrade the hard drive.
I asked if they they made backups or images of their troubleshooting laptops, to which they responded, "no, but thats a good point". Some network people are relunctant to make a system image because they think that they to involve the desktop department, use Ghost and eventually loose control over their troubleshooting laptop.
I asked if they considered using Microsoft's System Image creator and added that its pretty straight forward.
Since then, I have been asked on many occasions how to create a backup or image of the Fluke XG Tablet, or their Vista/Windows 7 system.
Here is video on exactly how to do that. Enjoy.
