Subject - How to build a network packet capture to disk appliance with OpenSource Technology!
This month’s webcast, we will be focusing on how to build an appliance for capturing data packets and writing them to disk. You will be taught how to build an Ubuntu Linux (OS) box, load TShark, and set it up to begin capturing packets to disk each time the box is started. The purpose of such a box is to capture all of the packets across a span/mirror port, tap, or hub and write them to a ring buffer on the capture device.
This will help answer the question "what happened yesterday at 3pm?"
We will be answering questions from the webcast attendees and questions are encouraged! This webcast will be recorded and a link will be provided to everyone that registers for the webcast within 24 hours
